Welcome to the World of Linux.
I am running Ubuntu Budgie 19.10 on my Dell machine. It was recently released. I am also upgrading my MacBook Air to MacOS Catalina. So today, I want show you Ubuntu Budgie. Ubuntu Budgie is a very polished distro with Budgie desktop experience from Solus Project. The UI looks better with those Faba icons. I am also sharing the screens in this post.
The system itself is very powerful. There are so many possibilities about what you can do with it. When you boot into Ubuntu budgie you are first greeted by a welcome screen.

This is a very cool place to get you started with features and all that you want to know about it. You can change default browser, settings, install new software and read the release notes.
The thing I love the most about Budgie is Raven. It is a side bar you get after clicking the top right arrow icon. You can access your widgets and notifications from here.

From the software centre you can download all you favorite apps. They are stable and work perfectly.

Upon right clicking the desktop, you can find Budgie Settings which can be used to theme and change behavior of your desktop.

It also comes with lots of useful apps like text editors, Libre Office Suite, Image Viewer, Calculator, Maps and stuff like that.
Those which you cannot find packaged, you can find in the Software Center. I installed and use Spotify and Steam which are available in Software Center. These both apps make listening to music and gaming a great experience on Linux.
And of course there is terminal, for all those computer minded people who make it worthwhile.
The wallpapers included are also very cool. It is a very nice and stable distribution. I use it everyday and I can tell you if you choose to use it, you will find it useful.
See you next time.
